Panel Description:
Cooperation between Germany and Poland in the field of security and defense policy is becoming an increasingly important economic factor. Investments in security, defense, infrastructure, and resilience create new markets, innovation impulses, and cooperation opportunities—especially for medium-sized companies in both countries. The discussion will focus on how Polish‑German cooperation in security and defense can be shaped from an economic perspective, and what role medium-sized enterprises play in this process. Topics will include cross-border value chains, industrial partnerships, dual-use technologies, and opportunities for suppliers, service providers, and technology‑oriented businesses. Regulatory frameworks, support instruments at national and EU level, as well as existing market and cooperation barriers will also be addressed.
The aim of the discussion is to highlight concrete perspectives for small and medium-sized enterprises, strengthen dialogue between business, politics, and security-related stakeholders, and provide an impulse for sustainable economic cooperation between Germany and Poland in the field of security and defense. Security is understood not only as a state responsibility but also as a driving force for innovation, competitiveness, and economic stability in Europe.

Seminar “Financing BESS in Poland 2026: Market Overview and Outlook, Public Support, Bankability”
Expired
The Polish Energy Storage Association (PSME), in cooperation with Osborne Clarke law firm, invites you to a seminar of the PSME Working Group on Financing and Support Programs: “Financing BESS in Poland 2026: Market Overview and Outlook, Public Support, Bankability.”
The meeting will take place on-site on 5 February 2026, from 10:00 to 13:30, at the Osborne Clarke office, ul. Senatorska 18a, 1st floor.
The starting point for the discussion and for our guests’ presentations will be the current market situation, in particular the completion of the NFOŚ call for applications for energy storage project funding totalling PLN 4.15 billion, and the recent main capacity market auction in its current form, with a low derating factor (KWD) of 13.39%, which raises questions about the durability and scale of available support mechanisms for energy storage projects.
During the seminar, the following topics will be discussed, among others:
- possibilities for building long-term, predictable revenue streams for energy storage projects;
- opportunities for financing energy storage projects from EU funds (current and future financial perspective);
- key market challenges and expectations regarding financing structures and risk allocation in energy storage projects.
The seminar will be attended by representatives of financial institutions, investors, and owners of energy storage projects, as well as energy traders, enabling a direct exchange of perspectives between the financial sector, the energy trading market, and key market participants.
The detailed seminar agenda will soon be available on the event website.
The seminar will be conducted in polish.
