Building synergies between the communities whose goal is building a strong and innovative power industry in Poland is one of the guiding objectives of the Polish Energy Storage Association (PESA). We welcome all initiatives that allow multi-sectoral cooperation; we initiate such initiatives and get involved in them. Thus, we are very pleased with the appointment of Mieczysław Wrocławski, Vice President of the Management Board of the Polish Energy Storage Association, to the Coordinating Council for the Development of the Photovoltaic Sector.
– I am honoured to be appointed to the Coordinating Council for the Development of the Photovoltaic Sector. I wish to leverage my 50 years of experience with the power systems in the work of the Working Group for the development of new photovoltaic segments and grid integration. I also declare my intent to cooperate with other groups, particularly the Working Group for identifying the barriers constraining the growth of the PV market and the proposals for their elimination – said Mieczysław Wrocławski.
The appointment was signed by the Minister of Climate and Environment, Anna Moskwa, pursuant to § 4 (3) of the “Agreement on cooperation for the development of the photovoltaic sector” signed on the 16th of December 2021. The main objective of the Agreement is the cooperation for the development of the PV sector in Poland and maximisation of the local content, understood as the participation of businesses based in Poland or international companies with branches or representative offices in Poland and conducting manufacturing or service operations here, forming a supply chain for the PV industry.
Deputy Minister Ireneusz Zyska – Government Plenipotentiary for Renewable Energy, has stressed that the agreement establishes a platform for collaboration between the government administration, representatives of financial institutions, entrepreneurs, investors, supply chain and scientific community. – The cooperation of the government with the representatives of the RES sector, scientific institutions, investors, and entrepreneurs active in the PV industry is a key element for us, not only as part of the implementation of the provisions of the Sectoral Agreements. When preparing new legislative proposals, we attentively want to listen to the voice of the market in order to jointly develop solutions that will enable the development of modern industries. This is an unprecedented form of cooperation that gives us a wide range of opportunities – emphasised the Deputy Minister.
