    Barbara Adamska is an expert in distributed energy and energy storage, and the author of several dozen publications on photovoltaics, energy storage, and distributed energy. She serves as the President of the Polish Energy Storage Association, a member of the Country Coordinating Council for the Hydrogen Economy, a member of the Program Council of the Distributed Energy Network, and a permanent expert for the Parliamentary Energy and Climate Group. In 2013, Barbara founded ADM Poland, where she serves as CEO, providing consulting services on the Polish renewable energy market. She has been recognised as the Industry Personality at the International Renewable Energy Fair REenergy. According to Energy Storage Report, she is one of the 40 most influential women in the global energy storage industry.

    Tomasz Janiszewski is a highly regarded energy sector expert, currently serving as Vice President and Member of the Management Board at Columbus Energy Trade Company, as well as Head of Large-Scale Renewable Energy Investment Finance within the Columbus Energy Capital Group. With over 20 years of diverse professional experience, Tomasz has built a robust career spanning the development and financing of renewable energy projects, battery energy storage systems (BESS), large-scale infrastructure investments, and strategic advisory in the financial sector.

    In his current role, Tomasz has led the deployment of Poland’s first and one of Europe’s largest commercial high-capacity BESS installations (133 MW / 0.55 GWh), supported by Poland’s first capacity market contract for large scale BESS starting in 2027. He is advancing a 3.6 GW BESS pipeline, large-scale photovoltaic farms, onshore wind projects, and DSO integration services for energy-intensive consumers, such as data centres and mega-factories. His remit includes project finance structuring, investment planning, financial controlling, and portfolio management, alongside spearheading energy trading initiatives, cPPA contracts, and cutting-edge technologies like perovskite solar cells. Tomasz also manages comprehensive risk assessment and mitigation strategies for complex investment portfolios.

    Prior to joining Columbus Energy, Tomasz served as Managing Director for Investment Finance at Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne S.A. (PSE), Poland’s Transmission System Operator. In this capacity, he managed a strategic portfolio comprising 180 national and cross-border infrastructure projects valued at PLN 42 billion. His achievements included the modernisation of Poland’s transmission grid, EU cross- border interconnections such as the Harmony Link Project, and offshore renewable energy initiatives. Tomasz also led the implementation of advanced project and asset management systems, including SAP S/4HANA ERP, streamlining operational and financial processes.

    Earlier in his career, Tomasz acquired extensive experience in the banking and advisory sectors, holding senior roles at leading global institutions such as General Electric – GE Capital CEE ( Poland, UK, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Germany and Austria) and Barclays Bank in the United Kingdom. Additionally, he spent over 15 years with renowned Big Four advisory firms, including PwC, EY, and KPMG, providing strategic guidance on financial structuring, risk management, and investment planning for financial institutions and large-scale infrastructure and corporate projects. This diverse background has equipped Tomasz with a comprehensive understanding of financial instruments, risk assessment frameworks, and the critical mechanisms driving both public and private sector investments.

    A certified LEAN Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Tomasz combines his technical acumen with exceptional leadership and risk management capabilities. His ability to structure innovative financial solutions (leveraging National and EU grants, international financial institutions, development banks and private equity funds) underscores his commitment to driving sustainable development in the energy sector. Tomasz’s results-driven approach, integrity, and collaborative mindset make him a trusted leader and advisor, dedicated to advancing Poland’s energy transition and fostering sustainable growth.
